MARIAH CAREY AND JERMAINE DUPRI GO THEIR SEPERATE WAYS

Mariah Carey has parted ways with manager Jermaine Dupri. The rapper/producer, who was hired by the songbird last year while she was working on her latest album, confirmed the split in a statement to Billboard.

"I'm a very hands-on person when it comes to my work," said Dupri. "I put my all into every project. But when I'm not allowed to do what I do, then I know it's time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future."

Dupri, who's responsible for Carey's hits "We Belong Together" and "Always Be My Baby", has been criticized after the diva's latest album "Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse" failed to impress fans.

According to Billboard, Carey is now working closely with Kevin Liles who currently manages Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign. While they haven't officially signed together, Carey and Liles recently collaborated on the launch of her Butterfly beverage.
