A 23 year old software engineer at google figured out a creative solution to his rent issues. Rather than settling into an overpriced apartment he moved into a 128 square foot truck which is on the company's campus. This allows him to save 90% of his take home pay.
Brandon,bought the 16 foot  truck for $10000.He purchased the truck in 2006,for exactly that amount.He pays no rent and electricity.He only pays for his truck insurance which is $121 a month.This allows him to accelerate his student loan payment.

I personally find this story very intriguing..
