Sharia Court Orders Husband To Re-marry Ex-wife He Infected With HIV

An upper Sharia court at Sabon Gari,Kano,has ordered one Abdulahi Ahmed to re-marry ex-wife whom  he has divorced after  infecting her with HIV .

The ex-wife Umma Usman told the court she had been married to Abdullahi for 13 years. And have had several children with him before finding out that he is HIV/AIDS positive.

He then issued her a divorce letter knowing fully well that he infected her with HIV.

Usman asked the court to cancel the divorce.

The judge Malam Farouk Ahmed granted the complainants plea as he cancelled the divorce and ordered the man to re-marry the woman.
