 LORDE BECAME VMA ROYALTY TONIGHT.



The 16-year-old star won the VMA for Best Rock Video for “Royals,” becoming the first female artist ever to win in the category, and beating out 3-time winners Linkin Park, as well as Imagine Dragons, Arctic Monkeys, and The Black Keys.

Robin Williams’ death rocked the entertainment world, and the 2014 Video Music Awards acknowledged his wonderful career with a touching montage. Pictures of an always-smiling Williams were set to Coldplay’s emotional “A Sky Full Of Stars.”



 The unannounced tribute was a surprise to all who were watching, and was a short, sincere, and memorable moment as the world’s biggest musicians honored a master of a different art form, one who had made them laugh for years.

NICKI MINAJ-- SNAKE BITS BACKUP DANCER DURING VMA REHEARSALS

 

How tragic. A 6-foot snake, believed to be an anaconda, bit one of Nicki’s backup dancers during a VMA run-through for the Aug. 24 awards show.

The MTV Video Music Awards takes place on Sunday, Aug. 24 and as usual, the night is sure to be jam-packed with a number of controversial performances , even the rehearsals are stirring up quite a bit of drama.
