The ballon d'or holder Christiano Ronaldo and the four times winner Lionel Messi are among the 23 players on FIFA list of contenders for this years award honouring the world's top player.
The list was compiled by Fifa Football Committee with the help of French Magazine France Football. It will be shortlisted to three contenders by December 1st and the winner will be announced on the January 12,2015 at the ceremony in Zurich.
