FIFA Confirms SEVEN Candidates For Presidential Race

FIFA confirmed seven candidates for next congress in February.The congress is expected to produce the successor to embattled Sepp Blatter.However,David Nakhid was excluded from the race.They gave no reason for excluding him.The candidates are – the General Secretary of Europe soccer governing body, UEFA,  Gianni Infantino,  Bahraini Royal Family member, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa and Liberian Football Association head, Musa Bility.

GFA executive Osei Kweku Palmer was on the most popular television Fire For Fire hosted by Countryman Songo, yesterday.Apparently Palmer had made a very controversial statement in an interview when he asked about why Kwasi Nyantakyi is going unopposed for the GFA presidency.For those of you who do not know what his response was,his reply was that "anyone who comes out to contest Kwasi Nyantakyi will be seen as an over ambitious person"..Based on his statement Fireman asked him why he would make such statement?

LIONEL MESSI broke the Spanish hat-trick record and Luis Suárez struck twice as a rampant Barcelona took over top spot in La Liga with a 6-1 hammering of Rayo Vallecano yesterday.
Messi broke Ronaldo’s record for hat tricks in the Spanish league with his 24th treble  and 32nd in all competitions  in Barcelona’s 6-1 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano on Sunday. That also meant Barcelona overtook Ronaldo’s Real Madrid at the top of the league by one point, and put him level with his rival on 30 goals for the season in the competition  having trailed 25-13 in the scoring race through 15 rounds.

The ballon d'or holder Christiano Ronaldo and the four times winner Lionel Messi are among the 23 players on FIFA list of contenders for this years award honouring the world's top player.
The list was compiled by Fifa Football Committee with the help of French Magazine France Football. It will be shortlisted to three contenders by December 1st and the winner will be announced on the January 12,2015 at the ceremony in Zurich.
